Product Description for Feather Flag Printing | Custom Branded Flags

Feather flag printing uses a tall, narrow curved graphic that follows the profile of the pole, creating a high-visibility vertical display for events, retail and promotional environments.

Feather flags can be used indoors or outdoors with the correct base for the surface. Ground spikes suit suitable soft ground, while weighted or cross-style bases are better for hard surfaces and indoor venues. The printed fabric can also be replaced on compatible hardware when campaigns change.

Use bold logos, short messages and strong contrast because the narrow shape is designed to be read quickly from a distance. Keep important content safely inside the stitched edges shown on the artwork template.

  • 300dpi resolution
  • Supply at a scale of 25% (Our templates are supplied at 25% scale)
  • Please convert black (100% K) to true black (C:100 M:100 Y:100 K:100) If you supply artwork as black (100% K) Your design will be printed as navy blue.
  • Include 3mm bleed on all sides
  • Supply as a CMYK PDF, preferably PDF/x1a
  • Outline or embed fonts
  • 10mm safe zone/margin

Technical specifications – feather flag printing

Construction: Printed fabric mounted to a flexible feather-profile pole. Current options include multiple heights; selected large sizes have restrictions on double-sided production. Compatible bases are chosen according to surface and location.

Artwork scale: Use the downloadable template at 25% scale. Supply 300dpi artwork at that template scale with 3mm bleed and a 10mm safe zone.

File and colour: CMYK PDF, preferably PDF/X-1a, with fonts outlined or embedded. Use the specified rich-black build C100 M100 Y100 K100 for solid black in this workflow rather than 100% K alone.

Design: Keep important content away from hems and pole pockets. Use bold type and simple branding; narrow text columns and small detail are unsuitable for a moving outdoor flag.

Use and stability: Feather flags are designed for promotional indoor/outdoor use with the appropriate base. Current supplier guidance rates the flag system for wind only within its stated operating limit; hardware should be removed or secured when conditions exceed safe use.

Base selection: Cross/weighted bases are appropriate to hard surfaces; water-weighted bases increase stability; ground spikes suit grass/soft ground. The correct choice depends on flag height and exposure.

Production note: Fabric can shift slightly during print, cut and sewing, so avoid critical edge-to-edge registration.
