Product Description for Restaurant Menu Printing | Creased Custom Menus

Restaurant menu printing creates professionally branded menus on substantial paper or card, with creasing used to produce clean fold lines and reduce cracking through printed areas.

This format suits restaurants, cafés, pubs, bars, hotels, caterers and event venues that need food, drinks, takeaway or room-service menus in a compact multi-panel format. Depending on the specification, laminated finishes may also be available for extra resistance to handling and light moisture.

Organise artwork so sections flow naturally as the menu opens, keep prices and small type clear of fold lines, and use a strong visual hierarchy so customers can find information quickly.

  • Please allow 3mm bleed on all sides
  • Supply as a CMYK PDF

Technical specifications – restaurant menu printing

Construction: Full-colour printed menu on substantial paper/card with one or more professional creases to create clean fold lines. Creasing is particularly important on thicker or heavily printed stock because it reduces surface cracking when folded.

Format: Finished size, open size and number of panels depend on the selected menu template. Treat the template panel widths and crease positions as fixed production geometry rather than dividing the sheet by eye.

Artwork: Supply a CMYK PDF at 300dpi with all fonts outlined or embedded and 3mm bleed on every trimmed edge. Keep menu prices, dietary symbols, allergens, QR codes and small type clear of trim and crease lines; use at least a 3mm safe area and more around folds where possible.

Page arrangement: For a folded/creased menu, supply the complete outside and inside faces in the orientation shown by the template. Print and fold a paper mock-up before submission to verify cover, back panel and inside reading order.

Paper and finish: Coated stocks provide stronger image reproduction; uncoated stocks are easier to write on; laminated menu variants add scuff and light-moisture resistance. Exact material and finish availability depends on the selected configuration.

Fold durability: Large dark solids crossing a fold can still show stress even when creased. Lamination provides extra surface protection where frequent handling is expected.

Hospitality use: Standard paper menus are not automatically washable or fully waterproof. For frequent wiping, spills or outdoor tables, specify an appropriate laminated or synthetic menu material for the actual cleaning regime.

Frequently Asked Questions

Restaurant Menu Printing | Creased Custom Menus FAQs

A creased menu is printed on substantial paper or card and professionally scored along the intended fold line so it folds more cleanly and with less risk of cracking.

Creasing compresses the paper fibres before folding, which is particularly important on thicker stocks and designs with heavy ink coverage across the fold.

Restaurants, cafés, pubs, bars, hotels, caterers and event venues use them for food, drinks, takeaway, room-service and event menus.

Laminated menu options are available where extra resistance to handling and light moisture is required. The right finish depends on how often the menu will be used and cleaned.

Panel layout depends on the selected finished size and crease configuration. The artwork should follow the exact template so content lands on the intended panels.

Keep small text, prices and important logos away from the fold line, and organise sections so customers can follow the menu naturally as it is opened.
