Product Description for Printed Paper Coasters | 500gsm Custom Coasters

Custom printed paper coasters give bars, restaurants, events and hospitality venues a compact branded surface directly beneath the drink. The current product uses substantial absorbent board designed specifically for coaster applications.

The board is approximately 500gsm and 1.2mm thick, with circular and rounded-square formats available. Full-colour artwork can be used to carry logos, campaign graphics, drinks branding or event messaging. The absorbent surface is intentionally different from laminated card and should not be treated as a waterproof plastic coaster.

Use bold, simple artwork with generous safe margins. The thickness and absorbency give the product a tactile feel, while normal registration and cutting tolerances make narrow borders less suitable.

Supply artwork using the exact coaster shape and size template. Add 3mm bleed and keep important content at least 5mm inside the finished edge.

Supply a CMYK PDF at 300dpi with fonts outlined or embedded. As a practical guide, use type around 15pt or larger for small critical text and avoid lines much finer than approximately 2pt on this absorbent board.

Do not build matching hairline borders around both sides of a design where tiny cutting or registration variations would be obvious.

Technical Specifications – Printed Paper Coasters

Material: Approximately 500gsm absorbent coaster board.

Thickness: Approximately 1.2mm.

Shapes: Current circular and rounded-square options; use the exact selected template.

Printing: Full-colour CMYK.

Artwork: 300dpi CMYK PDF with 3mm bleed and approximately 5mm internal safe area.

Detail: Larger type and stronger line weights reproduce more reliably on absorbent board than very fine artwork.

Performance: Designed to absorb normal drink condensation. It is not a waterproof or washable plastic coaster.

Production Note: Normal cutting and print-registration tolerances apply, so avoid narrow concentric borders or artwork that requires perfect edge-to-edge symmetry.
