Technical specifications – desk calendar printing

Construction: Freestanding desk calendar with printed pages held by wiro binding and supported by a rigid backing/stand. Current range information includes 250gsm silk inner pages with approximately 380gsm matt paperboard backing for desk-calendar formats.

Artwork: Supply pages in the required reading order as a CMYK PDF. Include 3mm bleed on all sides, use 300dpi raster images and outline/embed fonts.

Binding safe area: Keep a minimum 15mm safe zone on the wiro-binding edge and 10mm on other edges. Do not place dates, logos or small text inside the punch zone.

Pagination: The page count and print sequence depend on the selected desk-calendar format. Use the exact current template and do not add blank pages unless the product specification requires them.

Layout: Date grids must remain legible at the final desk-viewing size. Leave sufficient contrast between dates and backgrounds and check that calendar information is correct for the intended year before proof approval.

Production note: Wire colour, stand dimensions and page count are part of the selected product specification. Avoid building a reusable generic file without first confirming the new year’s template, because calendar dates and finishing positions can change.
