Technical specifications – printed chalkboard signs

Hardware: Freestanding A-board-style chalkboard made from dark-brown solid wood with a double-painted finish, steel hinges and brass-coloured chains on the current specification. Approximate display area is 530 x 665mm and total unit weight is around 4kg.

Display: Double-sided system suitable for appropriate indoor and outdoor hospitality/retail use. The chalkboard can combine permanent printed branding with a writable/changeable area for chalk, chalk markers or compatible lettering.

Printing: Full-colour CMYK using UV-cured inks for the permanent printed elements. Standard production uses the same design on both sides unless otherwise specified by the ordering workflow.

Artwork: Supply one correctly structured multi-layer CMYK PDF, preferably PDF/X-4, with fonts outlined/embedded and raster artwork at approximately 150dpi final size. Maintain a minimum 10mm quiet border, ideally around 25mm, so frame edges and hardware do not crowd important content.

Layering: Keep permanent printed artwork and any designated writable/chalkboard areas clearly separated in the production file according to the template. Do not flatten technical cut/print guides into visible artwork.

Outdoor use: The product can be used outside in suitable conditions, but it remains freestanding wooden hardware. Protect it from severe weather and remove/store it when wind or prolonged exposure could damage the frame or make it unsafe.

Writing tools: Use markers/chalk suitable for the supplied board surface and test cleaning in a discreet area if repeated rewriting is essential.
