Technical specifications – printed envelopes

Formats: Available in common business envelope sizes such as DL, C5 and C4, with windowed and non-windowed variants depending on the selected product.

Printing: Full-colour CMYK on the permitted printable areas of the pre-converted envelope. Flap printing is available on supported options and requires the corresponding double-sided print selection.

Artwork: Supply a CMYK PDF at 300dpi with all fonts embedded or outlined. Use the exact template for the chosen envelope because seams, windows, flaps and machine-grip areas create product-specific non-printable zones.

Coverage: For reliable production, printed coverage is recommended to stay within approximately 35% of the total envelope area. Flood colour or artwork covering a larger area may require a bespoke production route.

Window envelopes: Keep all artwork clear of the window aperture and its restricted area. Do not place small text or borders immediately against the window edge.

Colour and folds: Printing occurs on a converted paper envelope, so ink across folds/seams can behave differently from print on a flat sheet. Avoid registration-critical patterns that must align exactly over construction folds.

Mailing note: If the envelope will be machine-inserted or used with postal automation, confirm size, window position, paper and address-zone requirements before final artwork is approved.
