Product Description for Silk Flyers & Leaflets | Professional Printing

Silk flyers and leaflets balance strong colour reproduction with a softer surface than gloss. The smooth coated stock works well for corporate promotions, property literature, product sheets, menus and event handouts where photography and text need to sit comfortably together.

The silk surface has a restrained sheen rather than a mirror-like gloss, helping reduce glare while retaining crisp image reproduction. A range of paper and card weights is available according to size and specification.

Choose lighter weights for large distributions and heavier options when you want a firmer, more substantial piece. If the finished item must be written on regularly, an uncoated bond stock is usually more suitable.

Supply print-ready artwork as a high-resolution PDF at 300dpi in CMYK (FOGRA39 where a profile is required). Embed all fonts or convert text to outlines/curves. Add 3mm bleed on every trimmed edge and extend backgrounds and images fully into the bleed. Keep important text, logos, QR codes and other critical content at least 3mm inside the finished trim. Crop marks are not required when the PDF is supplied at the correct trim size with bleed.

Technical Specifications – Silk Flyers & Leaflets

Material and finish: Silk-coated paper or card in selected weights; full-colour CMYK with available single- or double-sided configurations.

Artwork: 300dpi CMYK PDF, fonts embedded or outlined, 3mm bleed on every trimmed edge and at least 3mm internal safe area.

Printing: Full-colour commercial print; single- or double-sided configurations vary by selected option.

Colour behaviour: Coated stocks give greater surface contrast; uncoated stocks absorb more ink and can appear softer. Specialist effects such as foil or Spot UV are physical finishing layers and require dedicated mask artwork.

Availability varies by finish, but the wider flyer range includes standard A sizes, DL and selected square formats. Use the live product options for the exact combinations currently offered.

Supply a 300dpi CMYK PDF with fonts embedded or outlined, 3mm bleed on all trimmed edges and important content at least 3mm inside the trim.

Bond and other uncoated stocks are the most suitable for handwriting. Coated, foiled or varnished finishes are less suitable where writing is a key requirement.

No. Standard paper and card flyers are not waterproof. Coatings or finishes may improve handling resistance, but exposed paper edges and uncoated areas can still absorb moisture.
