Larger posters are normally read from further away, so typography, image scale and contrast should be designed around viewing distance rather than desktop appearance.

For framed or mounted displays, allow extra visual clearance around important information so it is not obscured by the frame rebate. For outdoor or persistently wet locations, choose a product specifically described as waterproof rather than assuming a standard paper poster will withstand the weather.
