Technical specifications – creative business cards

Finished size: Standard 85 × 55mm with optional 6mm rounded corners on supported stock combinations.

Creative stocks: Current options include 300gsm textured uncoated, 350gsm pearl, 300gsm Kraft, 300gsm uncoated cotton, 325gsm hemp blend, 350gsm textured linen and 375gsm woven bamboo. Each material has a different base shade, fibre structure and surface texture.

Printing: Full-colour CMYK. Uncoated and fibrous stocks absorb ink more than smooth coated paper; pearl stock adds a reflective substrate that influences light colours.

Artwork: Supply a CMYK PDF at 300dpi with fonts outlined or embedded, 3mm bleed on all sides and at least a 3mm safe zone. Use additional corner clearance when rounded finishing is selected.

Design considerations: Avoid very fine lines and extremely small type on pronounced textures. Clean layouts and areas of unprinted stock allow the distinctive paper to remain visible.

Colour management: The same CMYK values will look different on Kraft, cotton, hemp, linen, bamboo and pearl. Where brand colour is critical, choose the stock first and consider a physical proof rather than relying solely on screen appearance.

Finishing note: Writability varies by stock and any applied finish; confirm the exact material if handwritten use is a requirement.
